Each year Montana State University Extension and the Montana Feed Association host the Montana Nutrition Conference and Livestock Forum.  This year we will continue this excellent conference with the theme “Defining Sustainable Beef Production.”  The conference will take place April 15th and 16th at the GranTree Inn in Bozeman, MT.  Please note that this year’s conference is a Monday and Tuesday format.

We have an excellent line-up of speakers from Montana State University, University of Idaho, and several companies.  These speakers will focus on sustainability and the methods utilized in the beef cattle industry.  Topics include a defining sustainability, the ins and outs of annual forages, current research in beef cattle, beef cow efficiency and sustainability, and feedlot sustainability.

Graduate and undergraduate students will be on hand on Monday evening during the social to discuss their posters and current research.  On Tuesday morning we will have our annual Graduate and Undergraduate Student Poster Competition.  This is an excellent opportunity to meet students in the Animal and Range Sciences Department and learn about their research.

We also have an excellent Keynote Speaker, Trent Loos, who will be a fun-filled presentation on Agriculture Today.  Mr. Loos will present in the evening of April 15th.

We hope you will join us for this excellent conference.  You can register online at: https://www.montana.edu/nutrition/.  Registration ends on April 5th, so please register early.  A block of rooms at the GranTree has also been reserved for the event under the Montana Nutrition Conference.
