PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO REGISTER FOR THE MONTANA SHEEP SCHOOL:

Go to https://ecommerce.montana.edu/woollab/ .

You will be filling in the USER INFORMATION BOX.  (It will read OFDA 2000 Testing Submission Form. Please do not worry about that. We are using the same contact box for the sheep school.)

Fill in the following fields: 

  1. Producer Name: You do not have to be a producer. Fill in your first and last name. 
  2. Phone Number: Fill in the best number to reach you regarding the school.
  3. Email Address: Fill in the email address you would prefer to be contacted at regarding school information.
  4. Mailing / Work Address: Fill in the address you would like to be contacted at and include City, State, and Zip Code in the appropriate fields.

Move to the box below that reads: Montana Range Sheep School.

  2. Submit payment of $150.

Course Information

Limited to 25 people. Program will be geared toward active, range sheep producers who did not have the opportunity to attend college-level sheep classes, but could use a short course to take their operation to the next level.

$150 registration fee to cover instructor costs, materials and lunch on Friday. Call Brent Roeder at 406-980-0719 to discuss the program.

2026 Montana Woolgrower Summer Campout & Producer Tour of the new Montana Wool Research Lab | June 19 & 20, 2026

Event Description

Registration will be on the Montana Wool Growers Website: Not yet Open

The 10,803 acre Red Bluff Ranch is part of the Montana Ag Experiment Station and located near Norris in Madison County along the west side of the Madison River. Since the 1950’s, the ranch has been used for both teaching and research. Most of this ranch is rangeland with cattle and sheep maintained year round, as well as irrigated hay meadows along the valley bottoms.

Power will be limited, but we will have porta potties. Even if you’re not spending the weekend with us for campout, please plan on attending the producer opening of the new wool lab.
