County Historical Information:
Needing a short history of your county? These Water
Resource Survey books do an excellent job of giving
a history of the county and not just the water history.
Many of them give a brief paragraph about town sites,
populations, ag products, etc. as well as great watershed
and historical climate information.
- Start at this link http://www.dnrc.state.mt.us/wrd/home.htm
on the left hand side of the page click on “Water
Rights” then scroll to the bottom of the new
page and click on “Water Resources Survey Books”.
A list of counties will appear and you can click on
your county. Thanks goes to DNRC for making this resource
so readily available.
