Beef/Cattle Extension Program
Extension Beef and Cattle Program Overview
The goal of the Extension Beef Program is to provide
scientific, research based information to help producers
(1) create "low cost - high profit" cattle
that yield a product desired by the consumer and (2)
manage resources in a sustainable manner while maximizing
profits.
The MSU Beef Extension program has been involved in
developing the Montana Beef Network with the Montana
Stockgrowers Association which assists Montana livestock
producers in receiving added value for their cattle
by supplying customers with cattle that meet specific
beef quality and consistency targets.
